NVC-LPS (Turnover CLAMPs)
[Application]
- These devices are lifting CLAMPs for turning over iron plates and various iron structures (180° turnover).
[Features]
- NVC-LPSs are light specialized CLAMPs (safety factor 3). These are easy and fast to turn over large plates after butt welding at panels and assembly factories in dockyards.
- The bottom of the CLAMPs is a wide pad rather than a jaw in order to prevent objects from moving while turning over.
- The safety-lever-type locking system makes it easy to use the CLAMPs and to remove them after finishing the iron plate works.
- When lifting the shackle after releasing the safety lever, the links will be disabled to allow you to easily grasp and release the objects.
- These devices have a safety locking system. Even when a wire rope becomes loose while you are working, the CLAMPs will prevent the objects you are working with from moving by exerting a CLAMPing force when the springs begin to move.
[How to Use the Product]
- Insert an iron plate into the opening zone of a CLAMP and then close the safety lever.
- Mount the CLAMP on the center of mass so that the gross weight will not be localized or displaced from the center.
[Precaution]
- These devices have the safety factor of 3. Be sure to comply with the dimensions stated in the CLAMPs.
- Lift objects only within the range of the jaw opening stated in the CLAMPs.
- It is much safer to use sling chains than wire ropes for the turn over CLAMPs. Select chains whose lengths are constant. Ensure that the lifting angle is vertical to the ground.
- When lifting objects, the signalman must not be within the range in which the objects that are being lifted are rotating. The signalman must then send instruction signals to the crane driver.
